CityWood

CityWood is a wooden map artwork designed by an architect Hubert Roguski. It is a three dimensional design that combines modern technology with the beauty of wood and craftsmanship. Created from a city data, city streets, water and landscape are represented by separate wooden layers to create depth of the design. Each layer is precisely cut using laser technology, polished with sand paper to provide smooth clean surface and assembled by hand with great attention to the crafting process. Each map has its own personality due to the individual grain of the wood.

The German engineering company Puls moved to new premises and used this opportunity for visualizing and stimulating a new collaboration culture within the company. The new office design is driving a cultural change, with teams reporting a significant increase in internal communication, particularly between research and development and other departments. The company has also seen a rise in spontaneous informal meetings, known to be one of the key indicators of success in research and development innovation.

SUIGETSU JAPANESE RESTAURANT

1. They combined both ChongQing and Japanese culture in this restaurant. Some of the features were coming from ChongQing's traditional culture. While Japanese culture also play an important role in it. 2. You can feel the varies changes of ChongQing's landscape by all the hight differences of the floor. 3. The plan arrangements combined Chinese Fengshui culture. 4. This restaurant can not be defined as a Japanese restaurant, nor a Chongqing restaurant. It absorbed the similar features of these two place.

Moonlit Garden Wuxi

Wuxi place cultural materials of industry such as cloth, iron,bamboo, also Taihu Lake stone. They are tried to make full use of the characteristics of each piece of land,and bring value of an aesthetic sense of Japanese. Also plan to connecting each elements, then it is creating a architectural bond, to be a memorable interactive exhibit space for user. Pocket House

The project is a house inside a naval container with the use of the solar energy; dry construction generating less waste; thermo-acoustic treatment to do not use air conditioner; coatings and furniture made with recyclable materials. All of them based at the sustainability principles. The greatest challenge of this project was the respect with the small space! The total domain of the spatial proportions was crucial to meet the client's program: a bedroom; a bathroom; living with a dining room and a kitchen! All the furniture was carefully studied and designed to meet this concept!

Artificial Topography

Big Furniture Like a Cave This is the award-winning project won the Grand Prize of Art in Container International Competition. My idea is to hollow out the volume inside a container in order to build amorphous space like a cave. It is made of only plastic material. About 1000 sheets of the soft plastic material of 10-mm thickness were cut down in contour line form and were laminated like stratum. This is not only art but also big furniture. Because all the portions are soft like a sofa, and person who enter into this space can relax by finding the place suitable for the form of its own body.
